If you asked me which item of clothes I couldn’t live without, I’d say “jumpsuits” faster than you can say “Fantasy Suite.” Pilot Pete will be sending Victoria home after the Fantasy Suite. There’s nothing better than removing morning clothing selections for someone who loves to sleep, and I find it simple to only have to ask myself two things when I get dressed: Which jumpsuit should I choose and what shoes go with it? Because I wear them so often, I’ve earned the title of (self-proclaimed) Jumpsuit Queen at work.
Utility jumpsuits, on the other hand, are more difficult to find. Because they’re boxy and tend to lean masculine, they’re more difficult to wear if your style is more feminine. That includes the majority of the office females, who tend to avoid them since they’d (understandably) prefer to limit purchases that don’t get a lot of use. But I’m not one to give up easy. I chose a handful of my faves and dressed them for six different events in the hopes of inspiring you (and the rest of the team!) to join my movement and come aboard the utility jumpsuit train (#jumpsuits2020):
Utility Jumpsuit Looks Great With Metallic Pumps
Overalls aren’t the typical job attire we’re used to. However, thanks to the utility jumpsuit trend, you may wear fashionable boss lady dresses to work.
With metallic pumps, this sophisticated camo loose-fit jumpsuit looks great. However, a pair of chunky heel ankle boots or mid-calf boots will also look great.
It has a Runway Appeal
Runway attire are unique and have a seductive edge. The utility jumpsuit is a runway-approved attire because of this.
Replace the turtleneck with a snood and finish with a pair of clunky Easter pink sneakers. Although I am a boring color aficionado, vibrant Pantone colors will also work well for this style.
It Can Be Layered for Fall
If you thought utility jumpsuits were too loose to layer, you’ll think again after seeing this ensemble. This fall, layer your jumpsuits with trendy open-front knit sweaters to stay warm without sacrificing your style.
Experiment with different knit designs, from cable to seed to bamboo, to keep this look fresh.
You Can Pull Off a Minimalist Look and Yet Stay Glamorous
You may now get a basic yet elegant style thanks to the hot utility jumpsuit trend. Wear your slouchy jumpsuit with some edgy serpentine boots.
Accessorize with glitzy jewelry and accessories to complete the outfit. The fringed micro tiny purse gives the outfit a glossy look.
They’re Age-Appropriate
Are you still perplexed as to why you should follow this trend? Utility jumpsuits are suitable for people of all ages.
Style tip: Make this look more youthful by leaving the majority of the buttons undone and wearing a bright tank top underneath. Keep the shoes or switch them out for some more young boots.
Utility Jumpsuits Have a Chic Street Style Vibe
We know we can’t go wrong with evergreen street style, especially this jumpsuit. With a pair of hip shoes and a stylish belt purse, you may dress up your cinched hem jumpsuit.
Tip: A sleek street-style look may also be achieved with canvas sneakers and a chic crossbody bag or backpack.

The fashionable boiler suit does not allow for versatility. You can still wear it in the basic leather material and style it in a variety of ways.
The caramel is delicious, but you can use any other bright and cheerful color. You can wear a glamorous to-work appearance or a chic street style look with a modish pair of vans shoes depending on your mood.
The Utility Jumpsuit Makes Fab Loungewear
The utility jumpsuit is one of those versatile outfits that can be dressed up for a more sophisticated look or dressed down for a more casual look.
While platform boots are ideal for stepping out, mule sandals will offer you a relaxed but stylish look.
Denim Utility Jumpsuits Are Rustic
With your button-down denim jumpsuit, there’s no better way to rock the denim trend. By leaving two buttons undone on the button-down detail, you can show a little cleavage.
Style tip: For a stylish but rustic denim-on-denim look, go all out with an oversized denim jacket. For a stylish look, replace the clunky heels with espadrille wedges.
Fitting Utility Jumpsuits Are Also Stylish
While the utility jumpsuits’ loose-fitting element is what makes them stand out, fitted utility jumpsuits are just as flattering. It’s a great way to dress up for breakfast or lunch outings with your girlfriends.
The stylish wedges provide a cheeky touch to the waist-defining jumpsuit, but heeled mules or flat canvas sneakers will add a laid-back street vibe.
Tip: A little cleavage never hurts. But with this, button all the way up to show off the sultry high collar detail.
Utility Jumpsuits Are Sporty
Pair your pastel boiler suit with chunky trainers for a subtle but sultry sporty style. Try wearing a different colored belt that will give a colorful touch to your style instead of the matching one to keep this look polished.
Trivia: A athletic style can also be achieved by wearing a front zippered jumpsuit with a mock-neck detail.
Utility jumpsuits might appear drab and restrictive in terms of aesthetics. However, with these fashion advice, you’ll have plenty of excuses to let loose and have fun with this basic piece, pulling off fashion-approved outfits.

What’s your favorite way to wear utility jumpsuits?
When it comes to wearing utility jumpsuits, there are two truths. They’re tricky to pull off, but if you succeed, you’ll seem effortlessly stylish. It’s all in the styling when it comes to pulling off the hard one-piece. The mechanical aspect of the jumpsuit is softened by smart accents such as waist-defining belts, stiletto heels, ladylike bags, and delicate jewelry. Even when coupled with shoes, the look is quickly elevated to a new level of chic.
We’ve picked together the best utility jumpsuit stylings from our favorite fashion chicks to show just how many ways there are to get the look properly. See how street style bloggers wear a tapered utilitarian jumpsuit with clean white sneakers, or how French girls style a wide-leg version with leather boots and a long camel coat to appear unexpectedly classy. Take a look at seven casual-cool ways to wear a utility jumpsuit below, no matter what mood you want to work with your utilitarian jumpsuit.
What kind of shoes do you pair with a jumpsuit?
Flats are a fantastic choice for any jumpsuit with a tapered or straight leg, whether elegant or casual. This avoids the unattractive bunching or snagging around the ankle that a wider shoe is prone to (such as a wedge or sneaker). Flats can also be worn with a cropped leg. An uncomplicated white loafer mule gives some contrast texture to a jumpsuit like this cobalt cap-sleeve number.
What to wear with flats and a jumpsuit: A kelly green purse, a set of multi-tonal bangles, and a tailored white-and-black jacket complete the look. Remove the jacket and replace it with a neutral leather crossbody or shoulder bag for a less formal look. Swap out the bangles for glistening chandelier earrings and a sequin clutch to spice up the look.
Is it possible to wear a jumpsuit with shoes?
Ankle boots can definitely be worn with a jumpsuit. To create a streamlined style, use booties when considering what shoes to wear with jumpsuits. Depending on the style you’re going for, ankle boots will look great with any jumpsuit silhouette.
Wear Heels
Is it true that we’ll never wear heels again? I honestly hope this is true (in moderation, of course). Heels are a terrific way to dress up a simple jumpsuit; they don’t have to be sky-highthink heeled booties, sandals, or sling backs! A few years ago, I wore a basic black jumpsuit to a black tie wedding, and all I needed was simple jewelry and heels.
Wear Flats
I know we’re all wearing flats these days; I’ve been living in my rubber Birkenstocks from Amazon. Flats, on the other hand, can dress down a dressier jumpsuit in the same way that heels can dress up a simple black jumpsuit. Do you own a flamboyant floral jumpsuit? Nude, flat sandals will help to soften the look. Personally, I prefer ballerina flats or mules with a jumpsuit, but you may also try simple booties or sandals! Even loafers would be an excellent choice.
Try a Denim Jumpsuit
A denim jumpsuit, sleeveless or not, is a must-try. It’s akin to overalls (which I can’t seem to figure out how to wearthey just don’t look well on me). But don’t believe a denim jumpsuit has to be thick and ready for railroad work; a lightweight chambray jumpsuit would be lovely and airy (and would look great with a cardigan on top).
In the cold, what do you wear with a jumpsuit?
A winter jumpsuit is a great elegant alternative when it comes to selecting the ideal clothes for colder weather. These one-piece costumes are ideal for layering, are practical for the cold, and are highly stylish. In the winter, a parka or asymmetrical wrap coat will keep you toasty while wearing a jumpsuit. For added warmth and comfort, layer a thick knit sweater or a button-up shirt underneath. Layer with long sleeves or leggings as needed, and finish with weather-appropriate footwear. If you want to accessorize, a scarf and earmuffs will keep you warm and fashionable.
What’s the best way to wear a denim boiler suit?

Unbutton your jumpsuit at the waist, pull up the sleeves, pop the collar, and top it off with a long chain necklace. This looks well with utility jumpsuits and denim jumpsuits in particular.
What’s the best way to wear an aviator jumpsuit?
You may match an aviator jumpsuit with a pair of white sneakers and a motorcycle jacket to create an effortless style. This is a fantastic blend!
Is it acceptable to wear a jumpsuit to a wedding?
Is it okay to wear jumpsuits to a wedding? Absolutely! Jumpsuits are a trendy and appropriate alternative for any dress code or wedding.
What kind of shoes work well with dungarees?
What shoes should you wear with dungarees? For a laid-back style, combine your dungarees with canvas heels or classic-cut leather sneakers in white or neutral tones.
