Lift the sink from its wall-mounting bracket by lifting evenly from both sides of the sink near the wall about 3 inches. To make removal easier, remove any caulking between the back edge of the sink and the wall using a tool knife.
How do you get a utility sink out of the way?
Close the water valves leading to the faucet and unplug the supply tubes first. Remove the trap by unscrewing the large slip nuts and placing a small pail under it to capture the water (Photo 1). Finally, unscrew any screws that may be holding the laundry sink to the wall before removing it.
Sinks are fastened to the wall in a variety of ways.
Use a masonry drill bit if the wall is tile. To the sink, attach the new faucet and drain assembly. The anchor bolts secure the mounting plate to the wall. If there isn’t a mounting plate, use the mounting hardware to secure the sink to the wall.
What’s the best way to get rid of a sink clip?
To remove an undermount sink clip, completely back off the nut and remove it along with the clip. The clip will remain attached to the underside of the countertop via the post to which it was affixed. If the post needs to be removed, unscrew it or cut it off with a hacksaw once the sink is removed.
