On Windows, you can use the Norton Remove and Reinstall utility to uninstall, reinstall, or remove your Norton device security package. Remove all Norton apps for Mac using the RemoveNortonMacFiles utility if you’re on a Mac.
Before using the Norton Remove and Reinstall program, make sure you uninstall Norton Family.
Run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool
Download the Windows XP compatible version of the Norton Remove and Reinstall program for Windows XP machines.
Save the file to your computer’s desktop. The file is automatically saved to the default location in some browsers.
Depending on your situation, do one of the following:
Click Remove & Reinstall to uninstall and reinstall your Norton device security program.
Click Advanced Options, then Remove Only to remove only your Norton device security software.
If your service provider has provided you with the Norton device security solution, you may only see the Remove option. To reinstall the product, you may need to contact your service provider.
If you chose the Remove & Reinstall option, your Norton device security program download will begin automatically after the machine resumes.
How do I get Norton Utilities to work?
Select Manage My Subscriptions by hovering your mouse over your name in the top-right corner.
Click Download on the My Subscription page under Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate.
