How can I relocate my router to a different location?
Moving a modem or modem/router combination can be challenging at times. In order for a modem to work on your internet provider’s network, it must first be cleared for use by the ISPbut you can check if it’s ready to use by glancing at the box or searching for your modem’s model online.
Is it possible to utilize my Comcast modem at another location?
Although moving your internet modem from one residence to another is doable, there are no assurances.
Your modem must be compatible with your new home’s internet service provider (ISP). Furthermore, at the new location, you must have an active internet connection.
If you’re not careful, you can find yourself having to purchase a new modem for your new home.
Is it possible to utilize my Xfinity account at a different location?

Is it difficult to set up Xfinity internet on your own?
It takes about 30 minutes or less to set up your Xfinity service on your own. All you have to do now is run a coaxial cable from your wall outlet to your cable TV box or Xfinity modem. Then, connect your cable box to your television and your modem to your router. (If you need more help, we have a step-by-step tutorial for setting up your internet and Wi-Fi.)
After you’ve connected everything, you’ll need to activate your Xfinity service online in order to properly power it up and go online or channel surf.
