Myrtle Beach is the best destination to visit if you want to have an enjoyable beach holiday. From water parks to golf courses, a wide range of eateries, and, of course, the beaches, there’s enough to do in the region. Myrtle Beach KOA, located in the heart of beautiful seaside city, has something for everyone and is an excellent place to pitch up camp. Wi-Fi, cable TV, a swimming pool, fishing, a dog park, and bike rentals are all available at the KOA.
Because the campground at Myrtle Beach State Park is only suited for rigs up to 40 feet in length, you should consider staying here if you are traveling in a larger RV. The KOA in Myrtle Beach is open all year, however reservations are recommended to ensure that you have a place to stay during your vacation.
Is Wi-Fi available at Myrtle Beach State Park?
No, you must pay an extra daily fishing fee to fish off the pier.
Fishing is also not included in the purchase of a state park passport.
To fish from the pier, you do not need a South Carolina saltwater fishing license.
Even if you have a South Carolina fishing license, you must still pay our daily fishing fee.
To fish from the beach, you’ll need a State of South Carolina saltwater fishing license.

Picnic tables and grills can be found throughout the park’s day usage section.
These will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you want to, you can also set up your own picnic tent and bring your own grill or cooker.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, lifeguards are stationed solely north of the fishing pier.
From May 1 through Labor Day, Horry County restricts dogs from being on the beach from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dogs must be kept on a 6 foot or shorter leash at all times.
On the park, golf carts are permitted.
Golf carts must be driven by a licensed driver, stay on paved roads, follow all traffic regulations, and be properly licensed and insured.
On the park, you are not permitted to drive a golf cart at night.
During the summer, the park can get fairly crowded on weekends.
The wait to enter the park might last anything from one minute to 45 minutes.
Later in the day, grills, picnic tables, and your favourite parking sites may not be available.

The campground at Myrtle Beach State Park, as well as the pier gift store and ranger office at the campground entrance, all have free wi-fi.
Is it okay for me to leave and come back once I’ve been admitted to Myrtle Beach State Park?
You can come and exit the same day if you keep your receipt from the park ticket booth.

Whether you forget something, check one of the two businesses in the park to see if your item is available.
Also, because we reside in an area with two state parks within 17 miles of each other, if you pay entrance to Myrtle Beach State Park, all you have to do the next day is produce your receipt to the entry worker at Huntington Beach State Park and you’ll get two parks for the price of one!
Sea turtles deposit their eggs on South Carolina beaches from May through August, and they hatch between July and September.
There aren’t a lot of nesting turtles at MBSP.
The park’s annual average number of nests ranges from 0 to 8. We don’t encourage going for a walk on the beach late at night in the hopes of seeing sea turtles breeding. It’s all too easy to annoy them! If you come across a turtle, keep your distance, be quiet, turn off all headlights, stay behind her, and don’t use flash photography.
Throughout the day, apply lots of sunscreen.
When it thunders or lightnings, leave the beach.
Know how to swim, swim in a lifeguarded area, never swim alone or at night, don’t go too deep, and remain 150 yards or 450 feet away from the fishing pier when swimming. Practice escaping rip currents with your friends and family (swim parallel to the beach). At every boardwalk, there are rip current signs.
Please leave the beach in better shape than you found it when you leave for the day!
Pick up all rubbish and beach equipment (including other people’s), patch any holes, and crush any sand castles or sand art (these create hazardous obstacles for sea turtles).
Do visitors who come to visit me for the day have to pay park entry if I camp or stay in a cabin?
Yes.
If your visitors are not staying in the park overnight, they must pay the daily admission cost.
If your guests will be visiting the park for several days, a 7-day admission pass can be purchased for $65.
Is it possible to pay for park entry in advance if I’m bringing a large party to the park?
Yes. The park uses a wristband system, which allows you to purchase admission in advance and obtain wristbands to distribute to your visitors before to their arrival. Wristbands must be purchased 10 days ahead to your trip, so plan accordingly. For additional information about this program, contact the park office.

Is there a complete hookup at Myrtle Beach State Park?
The campground at Myrtle Ocean State Park is about 300 yards from the beach and contains 234 spaces for tents, trailers, and RVs (up to 40 feet). There are 138 electric and water sites, as well as 66 full hookup sites. There are additional 30 tent-only campsites and chalets available for rent (overflow).
Drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers, a laundromat, and a dump station are all available at the campground.

Is there Wi-Fi at South Beach State Park?
No full hookups or pull through sites are available. At the park, you’ll find a disposal station. There are no hookups at the H and I loop sites, and generators are not permitted. There is no Wi-Fi in the sites, and it is only provided in the Hospitality Center.
Which state parks in South Carolina provide full hookups?

Water and 30-amp electric service are included in standard RV sites. We’ve upgraded some of our regular sites to 50-amp service sites. Andrew Jackson, Barnwell, Givhans Ferry, H. What is the cost of admission to Myrtle Beach State Park?
ADMISSION. $8 for adults; $5 for SC seniors (65 and over); $4 for children ages 6 to 15; free for children ages 5 and under. Pier fishing, overnight camping, and other park programs have additional fees.
Is it possible to set up a tent on Myrtle Beach?
Drop anchor at Pirateland, just minutes south of Myrtle Beach, for a fun family experience. The Pirate’s Oasis Waterpark, which contains a lazy river, pirate ship splash pool, and an Olympic-size swimming pool, will appeal to children of all ages. Mini golf, sports courts, and picnic areas are among the activities available outside of the water. The Captain’s Galley serves you some tasty pirate fare, after which you may partake in a range of craft and outdoor activities.
Beachside, lakeside, and inland campsites with full hookups are available at the property. Concrete pads and covered picnic tables are included on premium sites. Camping in a tent is permissible, however there is no specific tent area. The Camp Store, which sells food and camping, fishing, and beach supplies, as well as bathhouses, a laundromat, a non-denominational chapel, and free wifi, are all available on site.
Is it okay to bring your dog to Myrtle Beach?

City of Myrtle Beach
Dogs are allowed on the beaches of the City of Myrtle Beach, but there are varied laws depending on the season. Dogs are allowed on the beach before 10:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. during peak season, which runs from May 1 to Labor Day. Dogs are welcome on the beach at any time from the Tuesday after Labor Day through April 30th. Dogs must be kept on a leash that is no longer than seven feet long at all times.
Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade
The beachfront boardwalk, while not exactly a beach, is worth mentioning because it’s popular with dog owners, is owned by the city, and is directly close to the beach. Dogs are only allowed on the boardwalk between 5:00 and 10:00 a.m. from May 1 to Labor Day. Dogs are always welcome on the boardwalk from the Tuesday after Labor Day through April 30th. There are also water fountains for dogs at numerous locations.
City of North Myrtle Beach
Dogs are welcome on North Myrtle Beach beaches at any time from September 16th to May 14th. From May 15th to September 15th, they are not permitted to be on the beach between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Dogs must be kept on a leash that is less than seven feet long. In North Myrtle Beach, there are a few places where pets are not permitted. These are usually little areas of beach that are well designated.
Pawleys Island
Dogs are allowed on the beaches of Pawleys Island, which is roughly 25 miles south of Myrtle Beach, as well as the other Georgetown County beaches. They are allowed on beaches at any time of year, but must be leashed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Dogs can be off-leash on Georgetown County beaches after 7:00 p.m. and before 9:00 a.m., as long as they are well-trained.
