My Account Online Services Terms & Conditions

You may use the online My Account service system of Southern California Edison Company (SCE) only if you are a SCE customer, have properly registered a user name and password, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

  • General. Through Energy Manager Basic (for qualifying customers), SCE’s online My Account tool allows you to examine your current SCE account data, history payments, billing dates and amounts, historical energy usage data, and near real-time interval energy usage data through the Internet. By accepting or using My Account in any other way, you represent that you are the customer of record for the SCE customer account or service account that you are enrolling in or that is enrolled in My Account, or that you are duly authorized to act on behalf of, and with the express consent of, the customer of record; and that you agree to the Terms and Conditions of this agreement ” (“Agreement). My account is subject to SCE’s tariffs, as well as any changes or revisions directed by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in the exercise of its jurisdiction.
  • Eligibility. You must have an open, qualifying SCE account, be properly enrolled in My Account, and be able to view and preserve electronic documents over the Internet in order to use My Account. SCE reserves the unqualified right to accept or reject an application for My Account enrollment.
  • Availability. My Account is designed to be accessible to you seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and SCE will make every effort to keep your account balance and activity information up to date on a daily basis. SCE, on the other hand, will not be accountable if you are unable to receive electronic messages or access My Account, or if SCE delays or fails to update any information for whatever reason.
  • Bill payment for SCE (s). To avoid late fees, collection activity, or disconnection of electric power, it is solely your obligation to pay your SCE bill(s) on time.
  • Fees. You will not be charged any fees by SCE if you use My Account. After giving consumers utilizing My Account reasonable notice, SCE reserves the right to begin charging fees for My Account (or the services supplied therein).
  • Termination. You can deactivate your My Account service at any time and for no charge. If you want to stop using My Account, you can do so online by selecting “Cancel My Account Service” from any screen within My Account, or by writing to the address listed below under “Notices to SCE.” Termination is usually effective within ten (10) days of SCE receiving your request. SCE has the right, at any time and for any reason, to cancel My Account and/or suspend or terminate your access to My Account without notice. SCE will make every effort to notify you in advance of the discontinuation, suspension, or termination of My Account by posting notice on SCE’s website ( “SCE shall not be accountable for any failure to do so, whether through a website or otherwise.
  • Amendments. SCE has the right to change or adjust the conditions of My Account and this Agreement at any time. In this case, SCE will notify you in line with applicable law, which may be done by posting the change on SCE’s website. Any use of My Account after SCE sends you notification of a change constitutes your acceptance of that change (s). If you do not agree with any of the revisions, you may terminate this Agreement.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer or assign this Agreement to anybody else.
  • Law that governs. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict of laws provisions.
  • Warranties are disclaimed. SCE’s Website, as well as any content, information, software, features, and applets made available on or via it, are supplied “as is” and “as available.” SCE makes no representations or warranties that the Website or any content or services provided in connection with the Website, including My Account, will be timely, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that defects in the Website or any content or services provided through the Website, including My Account, will be corrected. SCE will not be liable for any mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletions, malfunctions, or delays in the performance of the Website, any services, including My Account, or related material, including those caused by communication line failures, or computer viruses associated with the Website’s operation. Online Billing, Online Payment, Direct Payment Terms & Conditions

Only if you are a customer of Southern California Edison Company (SCE) and properly register a user name and password, as well as agree to these Terms and Conditions, may you use SCE’s online servicesOnline Billing, Online Payment, and Direct Payment (collectively referred to as SCE’s “Online Services”).

  • General. Through its online My Account service system, SCE presently offers Online Payment, Online Billing, and Direct Payment. You can view your SCE bill through the Internet using SCE’s Online Billing service (“Online Billing”). You can pay your SCE bill online using SCE’s Online Payment service (“Online Payment”). SCE’s Direct Payment service (“Direct Payment”) allows you to pay your SCE payment each month by automated deduction from your bank account, ten (10) days after the bill is created. By accepting below or using Online Billing, Online Payment, and/or Direct Payment in any other way, you represent that you are the customer of record for the SCE customer account or service account that you are enrolling in or that is enrolled in Online Payment, Online Billing, and/or Direct Payment, or that you are duly authorized to act on behalf of, and with the express consent of, the customer of record; and that you agree to the Terms and Conditions of this agreement (“Agreement”). SCE’s Online Services are subject to SCE’s filed tariffs, as well as any revisions or amendments directed by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in the exercise of its jurisdiction from time to time.
  • Eligibility. You must have an open, qualifying SCE account, be properly enrolled in Online Billing, Online Payment, and/or Direct Payment, and be able to view and maintain electronic documents over the Internet to use any of SCE’s Online Services. There are also the following extra eligibility requirements:
  • Online Billing: SCE is unable to send electronic copies of client bills to more than one place at this time. As a result, if you are registered in another bill-presentation service that is not run by SCE and gets an electronic version of your bill from SCE, you will not be eligible to enroll in Online Billing.
  • If you enroll in Online Payment, you will not be able to pay your SCE bill via SCE’s Direct Payment service, which deducts your payment from your bank account automatically. You will also be ineligible for Online Payment if SCE deems that your bill(s) may only be paid in cash.
  • If you enroll in Direct Payment, you will not be able to pay your account via SCE’s Online Payment service, which allows you to pay your payment over the Internet. You will also be ineligible for Direct Payment if SCE finds that your bill(s) may only be paid in cash.

SCE reserves the absolute right to accept or reject any application for Online Billing, Online Payment, or Direct Payment.

  • Availability. SCE’s Online Services are meant to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and SCE will make every effort to update account balance and activity information on a daily basis. SCE, on the other hand, will not be liable for any failure to deliver electronic bill notifications, your inability to receive electronic communications or use SCE’s Online Services, or SCE’s delay or failure to update any information, for whatever reason.
  • SCE’s Online Billing Notifications SCE will send you an email message once every billing month if you have enrolled in Online Billing, advising you that your current bill is available for viewing online. For any SCE account that you enroll in Online Billing, you will not get a paper bill in the mail. If your previous bill is still outstanding at the time the current statement is issued to you via the Internet, the electronic bill may include an overdue notification. Discontinuance notices will continue to be sent in accordance with SCE’s tariffs.
  • Account in the bank. You must choose an eligible deposit or other asset account (“Bank Account”) at a bank or other eligible financial institution (your “Financial Institution”) from which payments will be made to use Online Payment or Direct Payment (and for Direct Payment, from which automatic monthly payments will be made). You acknowledge that by scheduling a payment from your Bank Account, you permit SCE to debit your Bank Account in the amount(s) specified, as well as any debit or credit entries to your Bank Account required to repair any payment error. You must also provide your Financial Institution permission to debit or credit your bank account for any payments or repairs. You acknowledge that you have the required rights, powers, and permission to make each such payment. This authorization will remain in full force and effect until SCE receives notice from you that you have terminated it in such a time and manner that SCE and your Financial Institution have a fair opportunity to act on it.
  • Limitations on Payment Amounts The quantity of funds you can use for Online Payment or Direct Payment is restricted by the amount of accessible funds in your Bank Account, including any applicable overdraft protection with your Financial Institution. Furthermore, unless you are enrolled in SCE’s Level Pay Plan, the amount of funds you may use to pay your account per payment is restricted to the greater of $500 or twelve (12) times the current debt outstanding, in which case the per payment maximum of $500 does not apply. You agree to keep adequate money in your Bank Account to cover your bill payments, and you acknowledge that SCE is under no obligation to complete a transaction if such funds are unavailable. You also acknowledge and agree that access to your Bank Account may be restricted by the terms of your Bank Account agreement(s) with your Financial Institution, as well as relevant law and regulations.
  • Online Payment Processing is a service that allows you to make a payment online. Payments made online before 6:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, seven days a week (including holidays), are deposited to your SCE account the same day. Payments received after 6:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time will be credited the next business day. You are solely responsible for paying payments in a timely manner prior to the due date, as well as any late fees.
  • Transfers that are not approved. If you feel someone has entered your bank account without your permission using Online Payment or Direct Payment, please contact SCE right away. You should also contact your financial institution right away.
  • Fees. You will not be charged any fees by SCE if you use the Online Services. If you use Online Payment or Direct Payment, however, your Financial Institution may charge you fees relating to your Bank Account, such as transaction fees or fees for making transfers without enough funds. Fees may be assessed to your SCE account if your Financial Institution does not honor a transaction. After providing consumers with appropriate notice, SCE reserves the right to begin charging fees for SCE’s Online Services.
  • Termination. You can cancel any of the Online Services at any time for no charge. You can cancel Online Billing, Online Payment, or Direct Payment by going to the Manage Account(s) tab and selecting “Add/Remove Accounts” or by emailing a cancellation notice to the address listed below under “Notices to SCE.” Termination is usually effective within ten (10) days of SCE receiving your request. SCE has the right, at any time and for any reason, to discontinue any of the Online Services, as well as suspend or terminate your access to any of the Online Services. SCE will make every effort to notify you in advance of any discontinuance, suspension, or termination by posting notice on its website (“Website”) or otherwise sending notice, but SCE is not obligated to do so and will not be liable if it fails to do so. Your liability for transactions begun through such services using your Password will not be affected by the suspension, cancellation, or cessation of Online Billing, Online Payment, or Direct Payment.
