These unique Karman-Vortex sensors have extremely sensitive components that cannot be cleaned, and any attempt to do so could result in significant MAF sensor damage. A Karman-Vortex style air flow sensor cannot be cleaned reliably by a DIYer. If you’re unsure, just leave things alone.

Can I clean the throttle body of my MAF with throttle body cleaner?
A MAF cleaner can be used on a throttle body, however a throttle body cleaner cannot be used on a MAF. The MAFs are fairly specific. If you clean the MAF sensor with the improper solvent and it leaves a residue, it can burn a little wire if it’s a hot-wire MAF sensor.
Can I clean a mass air flow sensor using WD40?
