Ten fuel cell-powered Class 8 trucks were recently deployed on drayage runs inside the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, California, following a two-year collaboration with Kenworth Truck Co. Kenworth isn’t saying whether it’ll build more trucks, but the PACCAR Inc. subsidiary’s involvement with Toyota makes it a natural fit for the Toyota fuel cells.
Is remote start available on the Tundra 2022?

Simply press the lock button on the key fob twice, then press and hold the lock button until the truck turns on. It may take up to 5 seconds for the truck to start, but it does work. Remote start will run for ten minutes before shutting down by itself.
Will a diesel Tacoma be available?
The Toyota Tacoma, which will debut in 2022, is a midsize pickup truck with a new diesel engine. Until now, this vehicle was only available with a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine that produced 159 horsepower. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission that can drive the rear wheels (2WD) or all four wheels (4WD).
A 3.5-liter V6 engine with roughly 120 additional hp is also available from the manufacturer. You can choose between a 6-speed automatic and a 6-speed manual transmission with this single powerplant. The Hilux engine appears to be the basis for the forthcoming diesel variant. The Tacoma variant comes with a 2.8-liter turbo engine that should produce roughly 177 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The current Tacoma with the two engines indicated above can tow up to 6800 pounds with rear-wheel drive, and 6500 pounds with four-wheel drive.
Will the Tundra have a V-8 in 2022?
The 2022 Toyota Tundra is the only full-size pickup vehicle without a V-8 engine. Instead, a twin-turbo V-6 and a 10-speed automatic transmission are the sole options. This engine is available in three distinct power levels. The nonhybrid engine in the base SR variant produces 348 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. Otherwise, 389 horses and 479 pound-feet are produced. Our nonhybrid Limited test truck clocked a 6.1-second zero-to-60-mph pace at our track. The hybrid model has an electric motor built into the transmission, allowing for full electric drive at low speeds. The combination produces 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque, reducing the time from zero to 60 mph to just 5.7 seconds. The rear suspension, which was formerly a leaf-spring design, has also been altered from its predecessor. The Tundra now has a more refined coil-spring rear suspension, which improves the vehicle’s ride and handling. This was clear in the versions we tested. TRD Off-Road and TRD Sport options are still available from Toyota. Off-road suspension, skid plates, and special wheels are among the features of the former. The latter features 20-inch wheels and a lowered suspension. The TRD Pro, which has a raised suspension and custom dampers, as well as a special set of black 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, is for those who desire the most off-road capability.
